styled session in hawaii

I spent the last few months staying with family in Hawaii, and while there my shooting partner hosted a styled session on the beach.

I used this opportunity as a way to shoot just for fun - something I’m not that used to doing. I wanted to mimic the absolutely surreal, dreamy feel of being on a beach in the middle of the ocean, sitting down to eat a picnic lunch. I stuck with a wide aperture, a soft-focus and starburst filter, to try to get the focus crepe-paper thin. I wanted it to look fragile, like a dream, and hopefully caught what my vision was.

Either way, it was such a magical morning.
